And I am back after two years of hiatus in blogging.
Lots have changed, I suddenly stopped racing cars, moved to the South and shifted to big bikes.
Big bikes are not just luxury today but also reliable machines that can take you from point to point with the ease of taking the expressways. Especially today when TPLEX is already extended up to La Union and with the Skyway connecting from SLEX to NLEX.
What are the big bikes brands we should consider according to their after sales support and reliablity?
Here is my personal opinion.
I am not going to explain why. I will just give a short comment per brand. Some of you may agree. Some of you may not. But after being exposed to the Big Bike Community. Here is my list.
1. Kawasaki
Parts are very much interchangeable and we have a Kawasaki plant in Muntinlupa. Affordable, reliable and will last your lifetime according to Atty. Joey Diez Sumcad. A Kawasaki Z1000 owner since 2015.
Plus, K Servico services Kawasaki Big Bikes all over the Philippines, says Atty. Joey.
2. BMW
BMW Motorrad Philippines's support is very awesome! And models like the R1200 GS will last a lifetime. When a customer wants and engine change, they will comply. When they want a unit change, they will comply. That is according to BOSS Ironman Chairman Engr. Tey Usis.
3. Yamaha
4. KTM
Philippine Made Duke790 |
I own a KTM. They are now producing KTM units in our country. And it is owned by Ayala Corporation here.
They are very supportive of my problems with my bike.
5. Ducati
Expensive to maintain but their after sales support is still great.
6. Honda
7. Kymco
Best Maxi Scooter manufacturer in the world. Their plant is located in Muntinlupa.
8. Suzuki
Haven't heard much about their after sales support but surely Suzuki is a strong brand.
9. Harley Davidson
Distributed by Autohub and Laus is also a dealer. Two of the most well known automotive dealers in the Philippines.
10. Moto Guzzi / Moto Morini
Biker Box has great service technicians
Special Mention:
MV Augusta
Because it is distributed by Motostrada who also distributes CF Moto.
